4 Sun Safe School No Hat, No Play! All students are required to have their broad brimmed, navy hat at school every day.

5  On arrival at school 3-6 students sit in Senior undercover area (Tuckshop) ONLY.  Students should arrive no earlier than 8:30am.  Year 6 students wait for their teachers, sitting in two lines, then walk to their classrooms with their teacher  Students then get organised for learning and read silently.  When the second bell rings at 9:00am students are ready to learn. 15 Library The Library lessons are designed to foster a love of books and reading. Students learn how to use information skills to access books for study and leisure.

16 Homework Home readers – can be returned and changed each day. ALL homework handed in on Mondays Students can also access homework through an edStudio at The Learning Place https://learningplace.eq.edu.au

21  Classroom Reward Systems: ◦ These rewards are up to the teachers discretion the rewards should reward positive behaviour regularly throughout the day. ◦ Some examples of this include:

22  These are rewards that occur on a 5 week rotation or spontaneously if decided as necessary.  Some of these rewards include: ◦ Uniform spot checks. ◦ Perfect class attendance for a week. ◦ Whole year level without a major incident recorded on OneSchool.

23  These are rewards that students work towards over and extended period of time. Regular reminders about the reward are given however the rewards are only given once a term.  In order for a RPSS student to receive a wrist band, they must have ZERO major incidents recorded on OneSchool for the Term.

26  If a student is not on task or is not behaving correctly in class, they will be given one warning to get back on task.  If the student does not get on task, they will be given a yellow time out card and moved to the designated Time out area or seat in the classroom for 5 minutes.  If the student is seen to be back on task after their time out, they are welcome to join the class in their seat.  If the student is still not on task, they will be sent to a designated Buddy Class for 10 minutes.

27  If a student is not following the school behaviour expectations at lunch, the student will be sat out of play for time out for 5 minutes. (minor incident)  If the student is seen to be involved in a major incident, the student will receive an immediate referral to Reflection room and Admin will be contacted.

28 When a Major behaviour infringement occurs in the playground, this form will be filled out and the Student will be directly sent to the Reflection Room.

29 If a student has attended Buddy Class 3 times in one week, the student will be given a Blue Card.

31  If a student attends the Reflection Room after attending Buddy Class three times in a week, a letter will be sent home to notify the parents and caregivers.  If a second Reflection Room is given, a second letter is sent home to parents.  If a third Reflection Room is given, the student is placed on a Behaviour Monitoring Card.

32  When a student receives 3 referrals in one term a letter is sent home.  When a students receives a 4 th referral a second letter is sent home.  A 5th referral will result in a Behaviour Monitoring Card.

33  BMCs are used to monitor students behaviour over a two week period. It is a collaboration between the parents, students and Deputy Principal.
