The are two main opinions about the birth of Messiah. The first that was in spring time around Passover. The second that was in winter time around the Festivals of Lights (Chanukah). When the Messiah was born? Slide for all servents of The Lord

There are additional two messianic opinions. ► The first that Messiah birth was according Hebrew calendar around Sukkot, the Feast of Tabernacles starting at 15 Tishri and lasting for seven days. Main reason will be that prophet Zechariah tells us in chapter 14:16,17 that in this day all nations, that will send troops in Israel before the Son of Men coming, will be required by law to honor this feast every year at Jerusalem. ► The second is that The Messiah birth was at The Feast of Trompets case in witch is same day as “The Lord’s Day” from the Revelation book of John, and the day of year when the seven trompets from profecy will sound in Israel.

Those who believe that Mesiah birth was at spring time have basis on the symbol of the Passover, The Slain Lamb who represent The Anointed One who is to come like Moses and the prophets have said.

Those who belive that the Messiah birth was at Chanukah have basis on the victory over Antiochus Epiphanes of Egipt in the time of Maccabees, what have lead to the re-dedication of the Temple and the apearence of a messianic faith. See the epistles of Macabeeans brothers that are auxiliar histoic books.

Nevertheess, there is no mention of his age when our Lord joins this festival: “Now it was the Feast of Dedication in Jerusalem, and it was winter. And Jesus walked in The Temple, in Solomon’s porch.” – –– – John 10:22-23.

The Celebration of birth at winter solstis is based on presumption that the announcement was at spring solstice (on 25 March). This way the days a woman pregnesy days are matching with the period between th two solstices. This is an second effect of receiving the pagans in the assemblies, after the 1st century.

In many christian tradutional churches of diffrent rits, the date of 25 March still is the Mesiah birth annoucement date, remembering the fact that the anghel Gabriel has announced Mary that will get birth to a Son that are to be called the Annoited of the Most High.

What The Holy Scriptures say about the tradition, grivet again from Luther, about cutting a tree from forest and decorate it with shiny metals ? Hear the word which the LORD speaks to you, O house of Israel. Thus says the LORD: “ Do not learn the way of the Gentiles; Do not be dismayed at the signs of heaven, For the Gentiles are dismayed at them. For the customs of the peoples are futile; For one cuts a tree from the forest, The work of the hands of the workman, with the ax. They decorate it with silver and gold; They fasten it with nails and hammers. So that it will not topple. They are upright, like a palm tree, And they cannot speak; They must be carried, Because they cannot go by themselves. Do not be afraid of them, For they cannot do evil, Nor can they do any good”. – Jeremiah 10:1-5 – This commandment of The Lord is not broken at Feast of Tabernacles if the braches of trees put on the tabernacles are not decorated with something shiny symbolizing silver or gold. – Leviticus 23:39-43.

If the Messiah birth was at Feast of Candles – Chanukah – Then He did not celebrated His birth days until the day He has walked like a price in the porch of Solomon and the Judeans surrounded Him asking: “ How long do You keep us in suspense ? If You are the Messiah, say to us plainly ”. – John 10:24.

If The Messiah birth was at Passover result that He hade celebrated his birth every year being present at The Temple with the matters of The Father. – Luke 2:41-50 –

About celebrating days, on the genealogic line of Messiah, there is patriarch Avraam, who have made a big feast for his son like is written in The Book of Creation: “And the child grew, and was weaned: and Abraham made a great feast the same day that Isaac was weaned”. – Genesis 21:8 –
