Harmonising cadences What key is your melody in? Where are the ends of phrases, and what cadences can you write at these points? Does your melody modulate? To which key? Is this a related key?

Non-harmony notes Which are the harmony notes in the melody? Is there another way this could be harmonised?

Harmonise Harmonise your melody using simple triads on a separate stave Does it sound OK? Which chords do you like? Which chords do you not like? Can you work out why?

Prep Harmonise your main melody in two different ways Harmonise each of your two varied versions
