9. Fieldtrips December 1 st : Santa’s Christmas Tree Forest We will be walking there. May 22: SeaWorld Extended day. We will be riding on a charter bus. If you’d like to chaperone, please be sure to see Jess in the front office for the information needed to become one.

10. Snack Time Students can pack a healthy snack to eat mid-morning.

11. Conference Night There will be having a conference night on Monday, October 27 th from 3:30-6:30 pm.

12. Reminders Orange Folders are sent home daily and are sent back to school daily. Please look through its contents and send back the next day. Spelling Tic-Tac-Toe due on Fridays. Daily Math homework due back the next day. Read every evening-Students are working on AR goals and Superintendent’s Reading Challenge. Common Core has added more Depth and Rigor to what and how your child is learning. The students will be using journals in Math and Reading and learning to explain their thinking orally and in writing.

13. My Teaching Philosophy Children learn by doing. Projects are done in school. Children will be children. I help guide them toward making good decisions during the school day.

17. Child/Parent Responsibilities Read for 20 minutes a day. Support and guide your child as he/she is completing their homework assignment. Please turn in homework, folder or library book in a timely manner.
