5. Neil Armstrong and “Buzz” Aldrin Neil Armstrong was an American astronaut and the first person to walk on the Moon. He was also an aerospace engineer, naval aviator, test pilot, and university professor. He was born August 5, 1930 and died August 25, 2012.He was married to Janet Shearon (1956-1994) and then Carol Knight (1994-2012).He had 3 children there names were Mark Armstrong, Eric Armstrong, and Karen Armstrong.
