Make your website work for you It’s your website, it’s your responsibility Change content to reflect what you do Keep it up to date with new content – Banners, events, blogs, videos, pictures, testimonials – Add new pages with new exciting content – Spell and grammar check every change Share blogs and content via social media – Increase traffic to your site It’s your cheapest marketing tool – USE IT!

Ensure your website is relevant Schedule a meeting with your council Meet in a place with wifi / projector Walk through every page together Identify inaccuracies and improvements Agree a plan to improve, assign actions Discuss the website at every council meeting Every council member is responsible Contact National Board for help if unsure Do this and your website will look awesome and attract new members

BLOG Link / PageUseTipsFrequency Categories A collection of blogs entries Defines the chamber’s activity Easy to eyeball areas of interest Shows how active a chamber is Use categories to show different areas President’s blog to be updated often Notice the count in brackets 6 months Archive Shows activity over the year First impression is important Try not to skip a month or 2, 3 or 4! This really does show your activity Make you chamber look really busy! 6 months Blog often, using relevant material Use pictures / video to engage the reader Link to social media channels and shout loud Lots of white space, check grammar and spelling Talk about what you’ve done, what you’re excited about Talk about external non-JCI stuff too, providing it is relevant Find people in your chamber who want to blog (council or not) Blog entries can be found with Google searches so get blogging!
