AUTHENTIC AMBASSADORS FOR CHRIST
3
“Transforming our world into fully devoted followers of Jesus to the fame of God.”
4
We recently voted to extend our Global Missions and include a more intentional outreach to our local community. We voted to do this through several actions:
5
► a special children’s program on Sunday morning ► mission ministry into the community led by our Community Impact Team ► a contemporary worship service at 10:30.
6
Years from now you could be one of those saying, “I remember when we started all of this. No one could have dreamed that all this would happen.”
7
I. WE ARE CHRIST’S AMBASSADORS.
8
2 Corinthians 5:20 “We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God.”
9
An ambassador is a diplomatic official of the highest rank appointed and accredited as representative in residence by one government or sovereign to another, usually for a specific length of time.
10
II. WE MUST BE AMBASSADORS WITH A NEW ATTITUDE!
11
1)Ambassadors are sent in the authority and power of Jesus! Matthew 28:18 “All authority in Heaven and on earth has been given to Me.”
12
2) Ambassadors are assigned to live in a community. 3) Ambassadors stay ready to obey who they represent.
13
III. WHERE TO FROM HERE? The vision God gave us won’t happen just because we voted it to happen.
14
We must financially support the changes in the children’s ministry.
15
We must support the Community Impact Team. This team exists to help RBC ambassadors to focus on investing our lives into the lives of those in our community.
16
I am only one. But still I am one. I cannot do everything, But still I can do something; And because I cannot do everything I will not refuse to do the something that I can do. (Edward Hale’s pledge to the Lend-a-Hand Society.)
