In general : The third person singular is formed by adding an s to the base verb. To work He works

In verbs ending in ss,x,ch,sh,o “ Es ” is added in the third person singular. To dress She dresses To fix He fixes To watch She watches T.V. To wash She washes To go It goes !

In verbs ending in consonant + y The y changes to “ ies ” To cry He cries.
