Fact 1: The first people to know zero were the Babylonia. They figured out this number in the 3 rd century BC. Also the Babylonians were the first people to invent the place value system. Fact 2: a long time passed when no other country knew the number zero. After the Mayans now knew the number in the 4 th century CE. The number zero now spread to Cambodia in the 7 th century. Fact 3: The Europeans now knew the number zero in the 12 th century after the Cambodians Some lie that they knew the number zero first. Fact 4: the number zero is probably one of the earliest numbers in history. The number zero was one of the most common number in the BC.

This is how it spread to Europe… The first numbers to spread were the roman numbers and they spread to Europe after spreading to Asia. Greek people immigrated their numbers to Europe after the Asians did.

The number zero is now common in all countries. the number system was bad in the time of numbers. After the number zero came up the other numbers that we use now these numbers were brought up by lots of people commonly Asia, Greek, roman these are most common places that knew numbers very well. Now the number system is fine.

A math expansion is meaning to multiply something into a term x. for example this term x can be (3+a). So 2 x equals 2 x(3+a) equals 6 +2a.

It was interesting for me to investigate the whole unit on the number zero because I have also learned new things about the number zero example: the roman numerals I have also learned the Greek numbers the Indian and lots more. Done by Emma Sangala 7sro
