Farm Mechanization After the Indian Economy opened up, the number of Farm Equipment Manufacturers in India have increased

Indian farming– Low Productivity

Farm Mechanization  Little or no use of machines in ploughing, sowing, irrigating, thinning and pruning, weeding, harvesting threshing and transporting the crops.  This is especially the case with small and marginal farmers  Results in huge wastage of human labour and in low yields per capita labour force.  Urgent need to mechanise the agricultural operations so that wastage of labour force is avoided and farming is made convenient and efficient  Agricultural implements and machinery are a crucial input for efficient and timely agricultural operations, facilitating multiple cropping to increase production

Farm Mechanization

Changing Market Scenario Higher Productivity High Reliability - Low downtime Better comfort Utility- Can do multiple operations Emerging Customer Needs

Tighter Emission

Tractor NVH Sound Level Analysis OENL Passer-by Noise Transfer Path Analysis

Precision Farming Soil Maps Precise Nutrient level Satellite feeds data Precise location for sowing

Precision Farming Use of Satellite based Global Positioning System (GPS) and use of Internet connectivity have resulted in high productivity in matured markets

Higher Productivity Higher Productivity leads to customer needs of better operator comfort and higher use of Electronics
