Physical Abuse: Any... Physical abuse does not have to leave a mark or bruise. It doesn’t even need to hurt. It includes the following behaviors: → Scratching → Throwing Something → Punching → Using a Weapon → Biting → Slapping → Pulling Hair → Kicking → Choking → Shoving/Pushing TYPES OF ABUSE: PHYSICAL ABUSE

Sexual Abuse: Any... It includes the following behaviors: → Rape → Unwanted rough/violent sexual activity → Unwanted kissing/touching → Forcing the victim to go further than they want → Not letting the victim use birth control or protection a/g STDs TYPES OF ABUSE: SEXUAL ABUSE

Verbal/Emotional Abuse : Anything that the abuser says or does to the victim that… TYPES OF ABUSE: VERBAL/EMOTIONAL ABUSE

Name-calling/put-downs/Yelling/Screaming Making victim feel responsible for violence Intentionally embarrassing victim in front of others Stalking Keeping victim from seeing or talking with family &/or friends Threatening to commit suicide in order to manipulate the victim Telling the victim what to do Threats of violence to harm or expose victim’s secrets, or take children Using online communities/cell phones to control, intimidate, or humiliate TYPES OF ABUSE: VERBAL/EMOTIONAL ABUSE
