Gender Ideally everyone who has an interest should be able to participate and compete in their chosen activity. However there are constraints, some clubs may only offer single sex teams due to a lack of facilities or coaches. What do you know about gender and sport?

Women in Sport Women's opportunities in sport are steadily increasing. More governing bodies are recognising women's place in their sport. The Woman's Sport Foundation (WSF) was founded in 1984. They pioneer the female cause and ensure they are thought of as equals.

Women in Sport Current trends have seen most sports be accessible to women. There are less bans on women taking part in certain activities. Media images of fit and healthy woman will influence female participation also.
