1 Introduction to Poetry SPI 0701.8.4 Genre Characteristics

2 Poetry is… One of the 3 big genres. One of the 3 big genres. Instead of being written in sentences and paragraphs, poetry is written in lines and stanzas. Instead of being written in sentences and paragraphs, poetry is written in lines and stanzas.
