How your child is graded Point/percent system Points earned by: homeworktests quizzes (3 types, announced, surprise and notebook)

Re-Tests Your child can re-take any math test or quiz one time (as long as it is not a district/state assessment or notebook quiz.) They must practice the material on the assessment they want to retake, come in for extra help and get the 1 st assessment signed by a parent/guardian. The most current grade is what is entered.

How will I know how my child is doing in math class? Sign up for the home access center. It allows you to view your child’s grade at anytime. Also, you can check out their school absences. I am happy to inform you that First in Math® is back for 6th and 7th grades for the 2012-2013 school year. No one other than the student should play on his/her user ID. A child may earn a family membership if the school reaches a set goal of stickers per student. Studies have shown that the more a student does First in Math®, the better he/she will do in math class and on state and district tests. The program can be accessed at home, school or anywhere there is an internet connection. First in Math will be up and running once the District receives more information from the vendor.
