FactoryTalk Activation Grace Period RSLogix 5000 v16.03 and greater adds support for FactoryTalk Activation (FTA) Grace Period –Allows customers to run software at full functionality for 7 days w/o an activation –Addresses cases where customers cannot immediately get an FTA or have lost it Additional RS products will support FTA Grace Period with CPR 9 A valid serial # must be entered during install to enable the correct Edition functionality while in Grace Period –An invalid serial number will set the RSLogix 5000 functionality, while in Grace Period, equal to that of RSLogix 5000 Service Edition –The software will run as long as a valid activation is detected regardless of the correctness of the serial number There are legal reasons that force us to enable just the functionality that was purchased –Serial number is the only way for us to determine and enable the correct functionality Gold Master and SI toolkit serial # are considered valid RSLogix 5000 serial numbers Serial # verification warning dialog
