Make sure you see this four pointed arrow appear over your mouse before you start dragging or you’ll have to start all over! Practice makes perfect! Practice dragging the arrow to point at Patricia, below

1) The ribbon is the banner that stretches across the top of the screen below the title bar. It is used to find commands. Commands and options are organized in groups on each tab. As you work in a document, the ribbon adapts by providing appropriate commands and options. For the next five slides, drag the words from the word bank into the proper position on the slide, like what you did for the first slide of this lesson. Remember– wait for the mouse to become the four pointed arrow before you start dragging!! As an added challenge, you will be responsible for drawing some of the arrows on the following slides. The slide title in the top left hand corner of each slide will say how many arrows you will have to draw. See the next slide for instruction on how to draw arrows

1- Under the “Insert” tab, select “shapes” 2- There are arrows under the word “lines” and the word “block arrows” 3- Click on the arrow you want and it will appear on the slide 4- From there you can drag the arrow around the screen, but make sure you see this four pointed arrow under your mouse before you do: 5- You can also angle your arrow by clicking on the arrow, then clicking on one of the dots on the ends and dragging up and down. File extensions identify the type of file. Let’s review different extensions for different programs! Documents – File Extensions

You can save a document to your computer’s hard drive, the desktop, an auxiliary drive, a network location or to portable storage media. On the next two slides you will have to drag boxes with words in them from the word bank to the correct dashed box in the text passage. Make sure the passage makes sense and your answers match up with Patricia’s! If you would rather type the correct answers instead of dragging boxes, you can do that too! Double click in any of the dashed boxes and you can type the answers instead of dragging and dropping from the word bank
