1  Welcome to First Grade!!! Feel free to leave your child a note on the post-its provided to be placed on their desk on the first day of school. Don’t forget to write a name!

2 About Me  B.S. in Biology and Writing from UC San Diego  BCLAD Teaching credential from San Diego State.  This will be my 2 nd year teaching and my 4 th year at UDA.

4 Homework  Book Buddy Bags  Take home story and journal response or math response  If you are having trouble finding the composition book, I will be placing an order this weekend and they are $2.50 each.

7 Extras  Birthdays: We love to celebrate birthdays together! If you would like to bring in goodies, please make sure they are non edible treats. We will celebrate birthdays at the end of the school day.  Absences: Email Tony Romano, Kimmie Orton and cc me. For planned vacations, please inform us at least one week prior to your vacation.

8 Videos of the Week  Youtube videos  Links will be found on the website and in the newsletter  Students watch them prior to class so we can discuss and see what they have learned.
