22 Steps to a Valid NJ Driver License 1.Vision Test – 20/50 vision with or without glasses or contact lenses 2.Knowledge Test – score 80 % on 50 question test (40 out of 50 correct) 3.Road Test

23 Vision and Health Out-of-state Applicants – between 17 and 18 years old who possess a valid out-of-state license will be given a provisional license for a year Vision Recheck – periodically may be required during renewal process Health Questions – if there is a health problem, medical review may be necessary
