2 House Bill 5 was recently adopted by the Texas State Legislator. This bill dramatically changed the requirements for high school graduation in Texas. The State of Texas changed the graduation requirements from 24 credits to 22 credit. Also included in this bill was a reduction of standardized test needed to graduate from high school. 6 Students must complete three total credits of Social Studies. 8 The passage of House Bill 5 allowed for schools to give endorsements to students for completion of certain classes.
