Recurring Signs Grammar Notes Move in a repetitive format Gloss with ++ after the sign Show something that happens again and again at different time periods— so it starts and stops then starts again. EVERY-MORNING I VOMIT++.

Continuous Signs Grammar Notes Move in a circular format Gloss with –cont after the sign Show that something occurred for a period of time without stopping ALL-MORING I VOMIT-cont. Gloss 4 sentences, 2 with recurring time signs and 2 with continuous time signs. Gloss with ++ for recurring and -cont for continuous. Be ready to translate in 10 minutes…

The Waiting Room In groups of three create three mini-dialogues. Each dialogue will have a patient, nurse, and a doctor. Rotate through each part (A, B, C) so in each dialogue you play a different role. The patient should complain to the nurse—include a time sign and FOUR ailments The nurse should empathize and comment, then get the doctor The patient should complain to the doctor using the time sign and FOUR ailments again The doctor should empathize and suggest a remedy The patient should respond and close with more than one sign Use a variety of vocabulary (don’t double up) and props! Would you do me a favor? Video activity—page 41 Making Requests Activity Fold a sheet of notebook paper in half and write a situation on half including a reason and a request. Top half: ask for assistance with a task at home, school, or work. Bottom half: ask to change the date or time of plans. Give good situations, not stupid, lame ones!
