3  London is a major cultural center of global importance, its headquarters are here, among others:  Royal Opera House Covent Garden and the English National Opera at the London Coliseum  5 symphony orchestras including (London Symphony Orchestra, BBC Philharmonic Orchestra London)  monumental concert halls, including the Royal Albert Hall  more than 40 theaters, grouped mainly in the West End  London is also associated with a large number of historic parks, including Hyde Park, St. James's Park, Kew Gardens, Green Park and Regent's Park

4  The National Gallery has a collection of European paintings from the thirteenth to the end of the nineteenth century, and the Tate Gallery boasts a rich collection of arts in English from the sixteenth until the twentieth century and contemporary art world, with an added Clore Gallery, which is located painter JMW legacy Turner.  On the other side of the Thames is Tate Modern, where next to the permanent collection are presented in the latest art exhibitions, among others, Wallace Collection or private collection with the collections of European painting, sculpture, weapons and porcelain

5  Victoria and Albert Museum has a rich collection of sculptures, ceramics, furniture, metal (silver collection), clothing and art zIndii and the Far East (including Chinese, Japanese and Korean) and English paintings from the years 1700 to 1900.  At the headquarters of the United Grand Masonic Lodge of England runs a free museum Masonic and there is a chance to explore parts of the building with a guide

6  London is one of the largest academic centers in the United Kingdom. There is a seat of the Royal Society, University of London, Polish University Abroad and many other universities. State University of London (University of London called) boasting a long tradition of education, is now one of the largest universities in Europe, with the number of 100 000 students

7  London is a major transport hub of the road, crossed there nine autostradoraz five other major roads. All are connected to the M25 motorway, which forms a ring around the city.  In London, there are 10 large railway stations. Despite the launch of direct connections to Paris and Brussels in 1994, through the tunnel under the English Channel, the importance of rail transport is still declining, mainly due to high ticket prices

8  London has a rich sports infrastructure in the form of stadiums, tennis (Wimbledon), and numerous recreational areas (Green Park, Hyde Park, etc.). Every year the city holds dozens of various sporting events were played three times there Summer Olympics (in 1908, 1948 and 2012).  Very popular in London football, is there until 7 stadiums belonging to the first division football clubs: Arsenal (England trzynastokrotny champion and ten-winner of the FA Cup), Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea (London only winner of the Champions League) and Fulham, West Ham United and Crystal Palace. Furthermore, in the city are established clubs such as Queens Park Rangers, Charlton Athletic, Leyton Orient, Millwall, Brentford, Barnet, or AFC Wimbledon. Wembley is the largest stadium, which is able to accommodate 90 000 people
