2. I am 30 years old. I have one son who is 17 months. I work as a preschool teacher for a corporation called AVANCE in Houston Texas; where I live. I have been working at AVANCE for 5 years now and I have been working with children for 13 years. My degree is in Child Development, I love to teach children and to help them be successful in everyday life. I love to teach children about different subject, activities, and fun things. I love to shop, take pictures and spend time with my family especially my son.

3. I love my son; he is so adorable and funny. I love to take lots of pictures of him and capture every moment of his life. Since it is close to Easter I thought that I would add in a picture of him with the Easter bunny last Year, we are going to take the new one for 2014 tomorrow.

4. I enjoy spending time with him and teaching him new things. I’m teaching him his ABC’S. He says them in baby language of course. We go to the park and to the play area in the mall on the weekends. In the picture we were at the Carnival; it was so fun.

5. As a child I attended public schools. I attended Langstead Primary School, Tidwell Elementary, R.E.Kirby Middle School, and Forest Brook High School. All of these schools are in the North Forest Independent School District; these schools were excellent and they taught me many things as the years went by the school district closed down but before it closed, I feel they did help children strive for excellence. The schools that I attended taught me to be all that I can be and that’s why I would like to work in the public school system to help children strive for excellence and be all that they can be just like I was taught. One Teacher I remember is my 2nd grade teacher; Mrs. Brown, she encouraged me to do my best and be all that I can be. She even told me that I was very smart and intelligent. She felt that I was so smart that I needed to be in advanced classes and skipped up to the next higher grade. She taught me that I can be a winner that I am a winner and that if you do your best and try then you can accomplish your goals and be anything you want to be in life.

6. In the future I would like to either work as a Child Development Specialist or a Curriculum Specialist. As a Child Development Specialist I will help children in different developmental areas that they are lacking skills in or achieving poorly in. I will work one on one with them to get them on the right track and level. As a Curriculum Specialist I will be able to design and implement appropriate curriculum for different grade levels. I will choose the best curriculum to help the children learn and achieve at their highest potential. I feel that a Master’s Degree will help me in my future, to first feel good about myself and feel that I am achieving through excellence and that I am being all that I can be secondly a Master’s Degree will help me to go above and being in my career field and help me to be able to help others. I feel that with my Master’s Degree I will be able to learn and provide valuable knowledge and information to other people around me including other adults, teachers and students. I will be able to make others life feel more valuable and worthy.

7. One quote that I would like to use is one by Nelson Mandela: Which states, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” I believe this quote because as a teacher if I can teach children and instill in them the morals and values needed to be a well-educated productive citizen in this world then I can teach them to make this world be a better place; a more loving, prosperous and free world as well as society. Another quote, is one that I feel that is important and close to me is “Jesus Changed My Life”, I love this quote because it reminds me that Jesus is my Lord and Savior and that he has helped me to have things in life and be things in life that I wouldn’t be able to be without him. This quote reminds me of how Jesus has changed my life for the better with giving me my son, my Fiancé, my Life and my Career.
