VISUAL APPEAL Optimization of Graphics, for people to stay on your website, your pictures have to load out as soon as possible when someone is on your site. Picture Properties & Alt Tags, hyper linking pictures is a lot more organizing and saves time. Photo Gallery, helps when you need to put a large amount of pictures on your site.

USABILITY Don’t make users think; your website should be obvious and self-explanatory Don’t waste users’ patience; keep requirements, like making an account, to be easy and not stressful. Keep users focused on your website; pictures are more attracting to people than words. Use the right font format; use the right writing style to fit with the website. Keep your website plain and simple; users don’t go to a website just to look at it; they go to a website for information.

FUNCTIONALITY The type of architecture the website will be built as The type of server the website will be hosted on Features that can make it easier to use the website for the users

NAVIGATION Things on a website should be very easy to find for users Site navigation should appear in the same location on every page of a site. The section names of a site should state what lies behind them. Too many navigation buttons can confused the user, so less navigation buttons is better and simpler. Remind the user where they are by highlighting the section of where the user is at.

TYPOGRAPHY Use bigger fonts to grab the users’ attention. Choosing an alternative to centered text can make a website design easy to read. Sans serif fonts are almost always the best font because it’s a better font to put on a screen. Don’t use the same color font that you have for the background color. Show a clear introduction hierarchy, so it will be the first thing that people will see when they go to your website.

GRAPHICS If you have a lot of large pictures on your website, represent them as thumbnails. Make sure the pictures are professionally done, so your website can look professional. All pictures should be in high quality. If you've got some large images that you want to display, shrink them down not only in size but in file size. The smaller the file size, the faster your page will load.

COLOR Keep colors simple, usually just have 1 or 2 colors the most. Use loads of white spaces. When picking colors, pick different tones and shades of those colors to work with. Pick natural color schemes.

LAYOUT Put information into sections. Your starting page should be the most attractive page in your website. Have the same theme throughout the entire site. Have colors, styles and fonts to complement each other with the design of the website.
