Teacher Guide This lesson is designed to teach kids to ask a critical thinking question that you can’t just put into a search box to solve. To do that, we encourage them with smaller questions that search can help them answer. Make sure that you read the notes for each slide: they not only give you teaching tips but also provide answers and hints so you can help the kids if they are having trouble. Remember, you can always send feedback to the Bing in the Classroom team at BingInTheClassroom@Microsoft.com. You can learn more about the program at bing.com/classroom and follow the daily lessons on our Partners In Learning site. A close relative to the white-tailed deer, mule deer live primarily in the Rocky Mountains of North America, though they can be found in a wider range throughout the land west of the Missouri River. This time of year, mule deer forage on seasonal foods they can’t get during the harsh winter months: berries, grasses and, where human habitat encroaches, garden plants. As autumn approaches, bucks will put those mighty antlers to use as they fight each other in an effort to attract a mate. The larger the rack, the more healthy the buck. And large antlers mean a buck is better equipped to wrestle an opponent to the ground. Hello, ladies! What effect does having access to human environments have on animals?
