Why or why not? 6.Why is it important to learn about evolution?

Video #1: Isn’t Evolution Just a Theory Question to answer on your notebook paper: 1.Is it correct to say the evolution is JUST a theory? Is gravity JUST a theory? Defend your answer.
5
Video #2: How Do We Know Evolution Happens? Question to answer on your notebook paper: 1.How are whale fossils clues to their evolutionary history? 2. Give other examples of fossil records that show evolutionary changes from common descendants.
6
Video #3: Why Does Evolution Matter Now? Question to answer on your notebook paper: 1. Why is the theory of evolution an important theory for doctors and the field of medicine? How does the theory affect the way illnesses and treatments are approached?

Evolution Research Activity – SUMMATIVE GRADE Go to my webpage and click on the document OR get a paper copy. FOLLOW ALL DIRECTIONS CAREFULLY TO NAVIGATE TO THE DIFFERENT SITES NECESSARY TO COMPLETE THE ENTIRE ACTIVITY. THERE ARE FOUR PARTS!!!!
8
PART I: WHAT DID A T. REX TASTE LIKE? YOU WILL NAVIGATE THROUGH FIVE FOLDERS TO ANSWER QUESTIONS AND COMPLETE ACTIVITIES! READ EVERYTHING CAREFULLY!! FOLDER 5 REQUIRES A LITTLE EXTRA RESEARCH. YOU WILL MAKE A HYPOTHESIS ABOUT A FEATURE YOU BELIEVE A T. REX SHARED WITH A PARROT. YOU WILL RESEARCH THE EVIDENCE THAT IS AVAILABLE TO SUPPORT YOUR HYPOTHESIS AND WRITE A SHORT ESSAY ON THE EVIDENCE YOU DISCOVERED.
9
PART II: DARWIN’S THEORY OF EVOLUTION YOU WILL GO TO A SPECIFIC WEBSITE TO ANSWER QUESTIONS ABOUT DARWIN AND HIS RESEARCH. FOLLOW DIRECTIONS CAREFULLY!
10
PART III: DARWIN’S THEORY OF EVOLUTION – CURRENT RESEARCH AND DATA SUPPORTING THE THEORY OF EVOLUTION HERE YOU WILL WATCH A SHORT VIDEO THAT TAKES US AWAY FROM JUST A FOSSIL RECORD TO SHOWING US DATA THAT SHOWS THE EVOLUTION OF 13 SPECIES OF FINCHES ON THE SAME ISLANDS DARWIN STUDIED. DIRECTIONS TELL YOU WHERE TO STOP THE VIDEO TO ANSWER QUESTIONS. THE LAST QUESTION IN THIS SECTION ASKS YOU TO USE THE THREE PARTS OF DARWIN’S THEORY IN YOUR ANSWER!! FOLLOW DIRECTIONS!
11
