Writing: Kid Writing –There are several stages in Kid Writing. Scribble Writing ( ) Letter Strings (ekidkiels) Inventive or Phonetic Spelling (hom for home) Conventional Spelling Some of these stages may intermingle!

Attendance is very important… even in Kindergarten. Kindergarten builds a very important foundation for the following years to come. Routine Procedures: School bags: should be sent to school everyday. Please label along with all clothing! Transportation: Send me a note in your child’s homework folder if he/she is being picked up. Absence Excuses: Please send one in when your child returns to school after being absent.

Report Cards: March & June *November you will receive a checklist

Routine Procedures: Homework Folders: –Weekly Homework Sheet Help your child complete the day’s assignment and initial for the day when completed. Use another piece of paper if not enough room. Behavior Charts for the week are on the back side. Please discuss with your child how they did each day. Notices: –Not everything on the homework sheet may be covered in class. I will simple cross it out. –Leave in folders on Friday. I will collect on Mondays.

Individual Rewards Table Tally Marks Class Marble Jar Color Cards Green= I’m having a super day Yellow= I’m having an OK day. Given a warning and still has not changed behavior. Orange= My day isn’t going so well. Given several warnings and has not changed behavior after first color change. Will recollect in the “Chill Out Chair.” Red= I am having a really rough day. Given three warnings (verbal, yellow card, orange card) and still is not changing behavior. -Call home -Office.
