The nature of Managerial Authority: Authority and Responsibility: is the right to do something or to get others to do something where as responsibility is the liability of a person to be called to account for the way he/she has exercised the authority given to him/her. Delegation: is the process whereby superior A gives subordinate B authority over a defined area which falls with in the scope of A’s own authority Power: is the right to do something or to get others to do something Conflict: arises from behavior intended to obstruct the achievement of some other person’s goals
