What is renewable energy Renewable energy sources are things like: solar energy, wind, energy and geothermal, which can be used over and over again. Fore example solar energy we can use for electricity from solar panels and wind is used wind turbines. Geothermal is used to produce electricity from heated rocks.

This is an energy transfer diagram.

A fossil fuel power station produces electricity by burning fossil fuels, such as natural gas, coal, and petroleum. Heat is produced by burning one of these fuels. The heat converts water into steam. The steam is then used to run a turbine and get electricity.

Fossil fuels like methane and gasoline contains carbon. When these fuels are burned, they react with oxygen witch produces carbon dioxide. When these are burned they cause smoke helping with the global warming. Fossil fuels like methane and gasoline contains carbon.
