Welcome Growers Discover the Dosmatic Difference Installing your Dosmatic injector for years of service.

Congratulations You’ve purchased the best chemical injector available No extra cost for proprietary composite body, which exceeds PVDF for chemical compatibility and for mixing aggressive chemicals. No extra cost for built-in on/off switch, which allows user to stop the injection—but not the system. Separate internal mixing chamber to prevent chemical contact with motor piston—for longer life and uniform mixing. Highest standard operating pressure in the industry, Minimizing pressure surge damage. Industries Best 3 Year Limited Warranty

INSTALLATION I just received my unit. What are some of the first things I should do? Read your installation manual! If you did not receive one with the unit call Customer Service (800) 344-6767 Be sure to remove the shipping red caps at the inlet and outlet openings and at the suction tube fitting opening. Each unit is water pressure tested before shipping. Minute amount of water remains. The red caps prevent leakage during shipment. When installing into a PVC line you may need: pipe cutters, pipe wrench, PVC glue primer, Teflon tape and your fittings. What tools will I need to install my injector?

Why is a water filter important? –A water filter prevents debris such as sand from entering the motor of the injector which can cause premature failure in the injector. This is especially important if your water source is from a well or pond. Install a 140 mesh/104 micron filter or finer on the inlet side of the injector. Dosmatic carries the Twist II Clean ® ¾”, 1” or 2” filters that can be ordered with your injector. Failure to use an inline filter can void any warranty. Dosmatic recommends that you install a 140-mesh/104 micron in-line water filter in front of your injector. Depending on your water condition, it may be necessary to install larger mesh filters in series between the water source and the 140-mesh/104 micron filter. What additional equipment is required for a proper installation?

A back-flow preventer is required by ALL city ordinances to prevent back up of solutions into drinking lines and potable water supplies. An anti-siphon valve is recommended to prevent solution from being siphoned out when the upstream valve is shut off. The anti-siphon valve must be installed 6” above the highest downstream piping. You should always have a way to take the unit off-line for maintenance or storage when not in use. A three valve by-pass system will allow you to do this. See manual for examples. You may also want to install pressure regulators and gauges in your system. An EC (electrical conductivity) meter or TDS (total dissolved solids) meter is also helpful to verify the accuracy of the unit on a monthly basis. A water hammer arrester is highly recommended if you are operating quick closing, solenoid valves, pneumatic valves or even hand-operated ball valves on your watering system. Additional Installation Equipment

What water line temperature and pressure should I maintain? Install the Dosmatic injector in a cold water line - no more than 100° Fahrenheit or 38° Celsius - with a water pressure applicable for the model you are installing. Pressure should be regulated to the lowest pressure required for final delivery. Water pressure greater than recommended can cause permanent damage to the injector. (Refer to the specifications for the model you are installing)

The arrows on the lower injector body indicate direction of water flow and to help assure proper installation. On all models the arrow points in the direction of the water flow. What are the arrows on the injectors for?

Dosmatic recommends no more than a 15’ vertical hose and no more than a 50’ horizontal hose from the solution container to the injector (depending on viscosity). How high above the solution container can I install my injector?
