Are the SBAC tests important? YES, they are important! – Scores will be taken into consideration for future placement. – It’s an opportunity for you to show what you know and are able to do. – This is a snapshot of how you are doing; we want the “best picture” on Picture Day. – This test provides real-world skills such as critical thinking, writing and problem solving through the use of technology. The Day Before The Test Get enough sleep the night before the test. Your brain and body need rest to perform at their best! Eat a healthy breakfast the morning of the test to ensure your brain is working at its best. Wake up early and get to school on time the morning of the test. When getting ready, wear comfortable clothing appropriate for the day’s weather. Charge your Chromebook the night before. Be sure to bring your ear buds. DO YOUR BEST! RespectResponsibility Safe

On the Day of the Test Sit in your designated seat. Clear your desk of all items except for your Chromebook, earbuds, and a silent reading book. Place reading books under your desk. Turn off cell phones & safely place them in backpacks. All backpacks are placed along the wall in the front of the classroom. RespectResponsibility Safe

During Testing Restroom Rules – Students are strongly encouraged to not use restrooms during testing. – Any emergency cases will be determined by your teacher. Cheating – Any usage of cellphones or other electronic devices while taking the test may result in confiscation of the device for an undetermined amount of time. Investigation of possible cheating will conducted by LEA Writing Materials – Scratch paper will be provided upon request and will be collected at the end of each test session. After Testing Turn in all materials to your teacher. Place Chromebook underneath your desk. Option 1: – Retrieve your silent reading book and read quietly at your desk. Option 2: – Rest quietly at your desk. RespectResponsibility Safety

Program Hours The Engage 360 program hours are open Monday through Friday from school dismissal until 6:00pm. Students may sign out early to walk home with parent permission at 5:30pm. Students picked up by an adult must remain in program until 6:00pm. Students are asked to attend program at least 4 days during the week to meet attendance guidelines.
