Accounts for 5% of total local emission s as determined in the 2010 inventory Source of emissions is methane from livestock We know there are many other sources of emission related to agriculture and food: fuel used in agriculture, crop & fertilizer emissions, energy costs of importing/exporting food Goals in the Plan: Increase land of natural areas that contribute to a healthy ecosystem and carbon sequestration Increase use of agricultural waste as input in renewable energy production Better understand non-livestock agriculture impacts to identify new areas for improvement
