3 The most outstanding industries within the region are: textile industry (production of cotton fabrics and silks); dressmaking industry; food and beverage industry; manufacturing of construction materials (cement); furniture and light industries; machinery construction (production of lathes and milling machines); the biggest nuclear power plant on the Balkans; foundry and metalworking The majority of successful companies on the territory of the municipality are private (SMEs) E C O N O M Y
