A Typical Day At Our School For Y6 BOWDON CHURCH SCHOOL

We usually wake up at 7:30 a.m For breakfast we might have either cereal, toast or a hot cross bun with juice! We then get dressed into our school uniform. After we brush our teeth and freshen up. We normally walk to school but if its raining we go by car. Finally we wait in the playground for a teacher to ring the bell.

Before our lessons we… Do these routines to music. This is called wake up shake up. Our routines have a lot of steps in and we have to learn them off by heart. The songs we do them to are called, Love today by Mika, The YMCA, The Locomotion and When the going gets tough!

Morning We start school at 8:50am where we sit and read a book. Then we go out side for wake up shake up which is made to wake us up and get us ready to learn. Then we come back in and have a literacy lesson. After that we have assembly. Then we go outside to play for 15 minutes and play typical games like tig, hide and seek, bulldog and loads of others. Then we come back in for maths

At the end of the morning we go out to play or as Y6 managers we do jobs to help out the infants or things to help around school. In lunch we have loads of choice of food or you can bring a pack lunch its your choice. Then we go back out to play.

The afternoon On a Wednesday afternoon we would do I.C.T for the first lesson. (Learning how to do things like Powerpoint on the computers) Then we have playtime outside on the playground for ten minutes. After playtime we might have science. Afternoons are fun

After School Activities After school you can do lacrosse, hockey, football, art club, street jazz (dance and drama), choir, running club, badminton and netball. We also have some lunchtime clubs Computer club B.I.G. (Believe in God) Chess Fun and Fitness Lunchtime football for boys and girls

My hobbies and interests by children in Y6 Bowdon Church School Some children in Year 6 have written about their hobbies. We hope you find them interesting.

Music I am Simeon and I play: The saxophone! The piano And I sing in a choir too! There’s loads of musical instruments I want to play besides that but I think that’s enough for me…

Other hobbies I play lacrosse. I have a trampoline in my back garden which is really cool because I can go on it any time I want to! Sometimes, when my next door neighbour goes, I go fishing in rivers. I also have a very interesting rock collection and I like to build Lego models.

I have quite a lot of hobbies some in side and some out side. One of my favourite hobbies is golf. I had a little go at contact rugby it is really fun.

Our hobbies are, Rugby, drawing, hockey, swimming, guitar, scouts, judo, tennis, sailing, squash, badminton and art. My favourite sports are Badminton, netball, swimming and lacrosse. I play netball and lacrosse at school. I have been in a number of matches. I play badminton and do swimming at Altrincham Leisure Centre. For badminton I have played in a lot of tournaments and have got some trophies.

My favourite football team is Manchester United. I think they’re the best. My favourite player is Rooney! My dad takes me to see the games they play every Saturday. The hotdogs there are sooooo nice. I love spending time with my dad there.

Many of our hobbies come from after school activities. On a Monday we can play lacrosse or hockey, on a Tuesday we can join netball or football, Wednesday we can participate in dance and drama, on a Thursday we can sing in the choir and on a Friday we can do cross country. We like doing these things they are really fun. We have netball matches with other schools. We also have a lower junior and an upper junior choirs.

We can do gymnastics out of school we don’t do it in school at the local leisure centre. Gymnastics is when we learn how to do different things like back flips and somersaults. We can do this in school clubs or sometimes in clubs out of school at the weekend. Drama is where you pretend to be or do something. It is one of our favourite subjects.

We both have the same stick we both have a kuke kk-3 And we both play for Bowdon, in Manchester, England We play for the under 13s. And we have lots of other hobbies as well. Water sports Racket sports Snow sports Hockey Cricket and Mountain sports

I play field hockey and I play for Bowdon Club. I play the guitar and have lessons every week in school. I also do wake boarding Morgan’s Hobbies are Beat boxing Motocross break dancing Drumming Snowboarding

Sophie and Lizzie We live in Altrincham, Manchester. We like it because it has loads of entertainment. We go to Bowdon Church School and we love it! Manchester is very popular even though it mostly rains…!

The only sunshine we usually get is May to August. We mostly get rain or cold weather. Even though we have a lot of rain we never get used to it and sometimes it can be really fun! As we don’t get much sunshine we always make the most of it while we can!

I live in a big, brick house with rounded, Victorian windows. In my house is a projector which shines pictures on my wall which makes my television. There are also three bedrooms, two of them are double bedrooms and the third one is single. I also have an office in my house with two computers in it. I live with my mum dad and thirteen year old sister. I also have two kittens called Marley (who is mine) and Mac.

Our Homes We live in Altrincham,which is a town in Manchester. We live in brick houses and an average house would have 3 bedrooms 1 bathroom,and also a separate toilet. We would also have a kitchen, a living room and a dining room. Many of us have big gardens and in some of our gardens we have things to play we like trampolines.

Two families Hannah’s family In my family I have a dad called Chris,a Mum called Jane and a sister called Eleanor. I also have A pet dog called Mollie and a hamster called Fudge. Ayla’s family In my family I have a dad called Cengiz, a mum called Mary, and a sister called Melisa. I also have 3 fish, 2 guinea-pigs called Sooty and Nutmeg, 1 hamster called Candy and 2 cats called Coco and Twinkle.
