Tradition and experience The history of CEFARM dates back to 1945, the year when "Centrala Handlowa i Farmaceutyczno-Sanitarna" (The Sales and Pharmaceutics-Sanitary Centre) was created to the provide foundations for distribution of domestic and foreign medicines in post-war Poland. Although the name of the company has changed as well as its structure and economical conditions, the role of our company has always stayed the same. Since Apr. 1, 2003 Centrala Farmaceutyczna CEFARM S.A. has been present as a one-man State Treasury company with initial capital of PLN 55,400,000.

Today We belong to the 10 largest distributors of medicines on the Polish market. In 2008 the market share fluctuated around 4%. Competition with private pharmaceutical warehouses that started their business after 1989. The largest state-owned pharmaceutical warehouse with units in Łódź, Warszawa and Radomsko ( storage area sums up to about 35 000 sq m) Employment- 325 people and annual turnover- 698 760 000 zł

Distribution channel Polish market: pre-wholesale market, individual pharmacists The importance of individual pharmacists among its customers keeps growing. Today’s sales to pharmacists constitute ca. 16% of total company’s sale. Foreign markets: pharmaceutical distributors, pharmacists, retail stores, supermarkets, wholesalers

Key role in export offer plays pure Polish products offered by Polish small, medium or large pharmaceutical companies well-known on domestic and foreign markets.
