Step 2 Printing and Publishing (Subpart KK) Does your facility have printing presses and/or web coating lines that is stand- alone equipment engaged in printing operations that are covered under Subpart KK? a [§63.3300(a) and (b)] These specific printing presses and web coating lines are not subject to this subpart, but are subject to the Printing & Publishing NESHAP Fabric Coating (Subpart OOOO) Does your facility have web coating lines engaged in the coating of fabric and other webs on fabric coating lines? [§63.3300(f)] c Magnetic Tape Manufacturing (Subpart EE) Does your facility have web coating lines engaged in magnetic tape manufacturing? [§63.3300(d)] b These web coating lines are not subject to this subpart, but are subject to the Magnetic Tape Manufacturing NESHAP Is the fabric coating used for pressure sensitive tape or abrasive materials? Your fabric processes are regulated as a separate source category and you are subject to the Fabric Printing, Coating and Dyeing NESHAP. Definitions a Printing and Publishing is defined as publication rotogravure, product and packaging rotogravure, or wide-web flexographic printing press operations. b Magnetic Tape is defined as any flexible base substrate that is covered on one or both sides with a coating containing magnetic particles and that is used for audio recording, video recording, or any type of information storage. c Fabric is defined as any woven, knitted, plaited, braided, felted, or nonwoven material made of filaments, fibers, or yarns, including thread and includes fiberglass, natural fibers, synthetic fibers, or composite materials. Metal Coil Coating (Subpart SSSS) Does your facility engage in any metal coil coating operations? a [§63.3300(e)] Does your facility coat metal strips or webs with a thickness of 0.15 millimeters, or greater, that are packaged in a roll or coil (§63.3310)? You are subject to subpart JJJJ. Yes No Step 3 Your metal coil coating line is regulated as a separate source category and you are subject to the Metal Coil NESHAP. Is your coil coating line used to coat metal coil of thicknesses both less than and greater than or equal to 0.15 millimeter (0.006 inch) thick, regardless of the percentage of surface area of each thickness coated [§63.5090(c)(1)]? Yes No Is the coating line used to coat only metal coil that is less than 0.15 millimeter (0.006 inch) thick and is controlled by a common control device that also receives organic HAP emissions from a coil coating line that is subject to the requirements of subpart SSSS [§63.5090(c)(1)]? Your coating line is subject to subpart JJJJ, but you may choose to comply with subpart SSSS. If you comply with subpart SSSS, you will be considered in compliance with subpart JJJJ [§63.5090(c)].
