SATS SATS (Suffolk Alcohol Treatment Service) is an accessible and inclusive service to address the needs of those who experience problems with alcohol and require intervention to help them address their problems. The service has two bases, one in the East of Suffolk (Ipswich) and one the West of Suffolk (Bury St Edmunds) both managed by Graham Abbott. In The East the team comprises of 4 Case workers (including Tina Marsh & Chris Brett), 2 trainee Case Workers (Hannah Garwood and Danny Sparkes) and 1 Support Worker. SATS is managed by TADS (Trust Alcohol and Drug Service) which is based in Norwich. Statistics: Ipswich have 393 open clients, 208 are being actively key worked and 185 are on the waiting list. Overall caseload for SATS (East and West) is 594

Topics covered one to one: Wellbeing- diet, sleep, health (physical and mental) Recovery- recovery capital, motivation Relapse- triggers, coping skills, cravings Emotions –stress, self esteem, assertion, anger, relaxation, anxiety management.
