3. Proverb 1 Bir fincan kahvenin 40 yıl hatırı vardır. A cup of coffee has forty years of memory. (Sharing something with someone is never forgotten.)

4. Proverb 2 Bal tutan parmağını yalar. The one who holds honey, licks up his finger. (If a person works for the others’ good and provides beneficial services to people, this person takes advantage of these works and sevices, too.)

5. Proverb 3 Tatlı yiyelim, tatlı konuşalım. Let’s eat sweet and talk sweet.

6. Proverb 4 Darı unundan baklava, incir ağacından oklava olmaz. Baklava is never made with corn flour; rolling pin is never made of fig wood. (One must have the necessary qualifications for doing something.)

7. Proverb 5 Biri yer, biri bakar, kıyamet ondan kopar. One eats, the other one looks; so the devil is raised.

8. Riddle 1 Kırıldığı zaman kullanılan şey nedir? (Yumurta) What can be used when it is broken? (Εgg)

9. Riddle 2 Kat kat açılır, kokusundan kaçılır. (Sarımsak) As its folds are opened, people run away from its smell. (Garlic)

10. Riddle 3 Yürür gider, canı yok. Boğazlasan kanı yok. Dünyaya can dağıtır, kendisinin canı yok. (Su) It goes but it doesn’t have a life. If you strangle, it doesn’t have blood. It gives life to the world but it doesn’t have its own life. (Water)

11. Riddle 4 Sarı tavuk dalda yatar. Dal kırılır, yerde yatar. (Ayva) The yellow chicken lies on the branch. The branch is broken and it lies on the floor. (Quince)

12. Riddle 5 Sarı sarı içinde; sarı zarfın içinde; on iki birlik kardeş, birbirinin içinde. (Portakal) Yellow inside yellow; in yellow envelope; twelve brothers within eachother. (Orange)
