2 What is Provider Referrals and Payments? An IT system that: automates and replaces the current paper-based process for customer referrals (SL2), replaces the claim processes with self billing. Information exchange between DWP and contracted employment provision providers.

3 Why are we introducing the PRaP system? More secure and accurate exchange of information & payment. More cost effective. More efficient, standardised and transparent way of doing business with our providers.

44 When will it be introduced? Implement by October 2009, initially to support the Flexible New Deal. Cover all contracted employment provision by 2011/12. Other contracted employment provision comes onto PRaP as it is re-contracted or replaced.

6 What is the plan? Detailed business requirements to steer IT development in three key areas – referrals, payments, provision management. System development starts this month. Base build by December 2008. Final build by February 2009. Fully tested by August 2009. Go live September 2009.

7 Provider involvement Session with FND preferred bidders September/October 2008. Update this forum and preferred bidders when we have base build December/January 2009. Feedback from updates into development. Update February/March 2009 when we have final build. Provider input into testing. Support successful FND providers in start up. Support successful FND providers in live running. Queries via CED. FND Q&A page.
