3 Three Phases Pre - Formal Evaluation (Promotion Work Sheet – Inactive – No suspense to complete) Phase 1 Pre - Formal Evaluation (7 to16 Weeks Minimum) – Complete all designated Formal Evaluation prerequisites. (Promotion Work Sheet – Inactive – No suspense to complete) Formal Evaluation (Promotion Work Sheet – Active) Phase 2 Formal Evaluation (2 – 4 Week Period) – All remaining requirements will be scheduled on the company training schedule. (Promotion Work Sheet – Active) Promotion Validation (Battalion Promotion Verification Sheet -Active) Phase 3 Promotion Validation (1 Week Period) – One week verification that all promotion requirement have been met. (Battalion Promotion Verification Sheet -Active) Phase 2 in 2 to 4 Weeks  Cadet must complete Phase 2 in 2 to 4 Weeks Phase 1 (Pre-Formal Evaluation).  Failure to complete Phase 2 within timeline will result in Cadet attaining an inactive status and return to Phase 1 (Pre-Formal Evaluation). Phase 2 in 2 to 4 Weeks  Cadet must complete Phase 2 in 2 to 4 Weeks Phase 1 (Pre-Formal Evaluation).  Failure to complete Phase 2 within timeline will result in Cadet attaining an inactive status and return to Phase 1 (Pre-Formal Evaluation). 4  All Cadets will have a separate promotion folder (Controlled Document). (Active/Inactive).  All completed promotion requirements will dated and initialed by the Cadet Evaluator.  Supporting documentation will be required for designated promotion requirements. (Not acting leader due to an absence)  Only the Platoon Leader or Platoon Sergeant can remove the promotion record from the Company File Cabinet. (Not acting leader due to an absence)  Platoons will maintain promotion Excel Spreadsheet.  Once Cadet is promoted: - Their promotion worksheet and supporting documents will be placed in their personal folder. - The evaluator will then start a new promotion folder and Phase 1 will begin. - Week of promotion is Week 1 of the Pre - Formal Evaluation for the next rank (credited as 1 st Uniform Wear) Administrative Procedures

15  Promotion to next Rank at Medallion Ceremony.  Promotions will be retroactive back to August 2013.  If a enlisted recipient is in the Formal Evaluation Phase at the time of receiving the medal, they will be promoted two ranks. (Also applies to Superior Cadet Promotions)  Cadets must complete general knowledge/validation test of new rank within 2 weeks of receiving the Medallion.  Promotion to next Rank at Medallion Ceremony.  Promotions will be retroactive back to August 2013.  If a enlisted recipient is in the Formal Evaluation Phase at the time of receiving the medal, they will be promoted two ranks. (Also applies to Superior Cadet Promotions)  Cadets must complete general knowledge/validation test of new rank within 2 weeks of receiving the Medallion. Medallion Recipients LET 1’s are now eligible to compete for the Medallion
