A Successful Welsh Partnership Example A local welsh SME experienced in the application and development of construction adhesives & Coatings was looking to find a way to treat wood products to guard against fire damage. An EEN ‘Technology Request’ was created looking for a fire retardant coating for wood. An Estonian company who manufacture innovative fire retardants and fire retardants wood stains saw the request and responded. Product samples were shared and tested in independent laboratories. Results were excellent and orders were placed. Both companies saw potential benefit from further collaboration and decide to collaborate more closely. Orders have now become regular and they are now collaborating to develop a new product to prevent discolouration of exterior wood.
