The cost of employing a smoker Each smoker you employ costs, on average, an extra £2,000 per year compared to a non-smoker. This is attributable to: Additional breaks (£753) Increased absenteeism (£803) Decreased productivity Decreased morale 2007 NICE guidance “workplace interventions to promote smoking cessation” Costs are indicative, however we have a calculating sheet should you wish to work out your exact costs per year in £ and WTE.

What we do 12 weeks of support (Face to face, Group sessions & Telephone Consultations available) Medication available through prescription – employees will only pay a prescription charge to receive their medication, if applicable. This is considerably cheaper than purchasing the products on the high street.
