What do we mean by Area and Neighbourhood Working? Decision making arrangements, management of services, partnership working, action planning, and other arrangements and activities which take place at below the level of the Council.

The Advocate Role Speaking up for and on behalf of individuals and groups Encouraging residents to engage and participate Participating in plan making and decisions at an area and neighbourhood level Communicating residents concerns to the Council and partners

Community Leader Role Encouraging people to take up opportunities to express their views Represent local concerns and views Encourage the community to organise themselves Work with other community leaders in the voluntary, community and business sectors
