2014-2015 TIMELINE FOR HONORS COURSE STATE LEVEL REVIEW PROCESS Dec Cohort II submissions of Assurance Forms to DPI – December 2014 (before winter) Jan Internal review of Assurance Forms – January 2015 Feb Feedback to LEA on their Assurance Forms – February 1, 2015 Any LEAs needing to provide more details on anything the committee determined needed more clarification would need to be resubmitted to DPI by – February 28, 2015 May Portfolio submission date for Cohort II - May 1, 2015 (Would Like To Get Input from LEA on Date) May - Oct May – October, 2015 Portfolios Reviewed Feedback collected and organized Feedback returned to LEA COHORT II: LEA Process, State Level Submissions, State Level Review & Feedback

Using The Honors Rubric Teachers and Course Developers of honors courses should use the honors rubric for: –course development –to meet the needs of advanced learners –program improvement LEAs should use the honors rubric for local review to ensure fidelity of course rigor USE THE TEMPLATE!!!
