10. 10 50 States Initiative Fifty States recognized in two 2007 National Academy Reports Land Parcel Study-- embraces the Fifty States initiative to facilitate a land parcel coordinator in each state Successful Response Starts with a Map -- statewide councils facilitate data sharing and thus improve emergency response

14. 14 Active FGDC Standards Projects Public review closed June 8, 2007 for both: Draft National Shoreline Data Content Standard Draft National Vegetation Classification Standard, Version 2.0 - final draft has been released for a 30-day review Draft Wetlands Standard Public review closes November 8, 2007 Standard Practice for Minimum Geospatial Data for a Coal Surface Mining Permit Boundary Approved by ASTM on September 1, 2007 First standard recommended for FGDC endorsement through the policy on FGDC recognition of voluntary consensus standards North American Profile of ISO 19115 (2003), Geographic Information - Metadata Review by INCITS Technical Committee L1 closed October 22, 2007. After ANSI approval, it will be recommended for FGDC endorsement to supersede the Content Standard for Digital Geospatial Metadata (Version 2.0), FGDC-STD-001-1998.
