Business Plan: Definition It is a document that shows in details the business one intends to operate. These details include: The business opportunity to be exploited; Describing how it is going to be exploited and by who; Forecasting the expected costs and revenues;

Why have a business plan?- entrepreneur's perspective To draws a clear picture of business objectives and goals; To provides a thorough overview of the planned business; Gives a guide on how to meet set objectives; Presents the plan and the financial data supporting it; To unmask the potential Strengths and Weaknesses and the Opportunities and Threats of the business; To give timelines of events and financial targets against which to compare actual results; To give prospective financiers, partners and investors a means of determining whether it is good to put their money into the business.

Tips for “TB” business plans Look out for the following when analyzing a TB plan: Clearly described as Table Banking Range of product offering Describe the extent, if any, that there are or will be dealings with other bodies/institutions Legal form and ownership Current financial position (savings accumulated)and current resources (loans advanced) Location, meeting venues and any branch structures Any growth and expansion plans
