Each group will be assigned a document to analyze on Roosevelt to become an expert on and teach to the class. Each group should be taking notes, 1 scribe for master copy for presentation. Each group must be able to determine the following o Whether or not the document is a primary or secondary source o The “C” Roosevelt is focusing on in the document to complete the “Three C’s” o Explain Roosevelt’s goal that he was hoping to accomplish according to the document. Be able to teach/fully explain document to class. (3-5 minutes) Audience is to be prepared to ask questions on document, take notes

Analyze the following political cartoon on Teddy Roosevelt. Determine the message the cartoonist is trying to convey to the reader. Answer the following: How does the cartoonist use persuasive techniques to convey his message? Explain the message he is trying to convey. Why are all the lions coming out of a door labeled “Wall St.”? What do you think the cartoonist thinks about trust busting? Cite details from the cartoon that support your interpretation.
