The front and back of the even pages are to record your thinking, reflections, thoughts, impressions, connections, and wonderings. The even pages (both front & back) belong to you! Apply skills learned in class Use graphs, charts, and diagrams Make connections between new and prior knowledge Questions Homework Brainstorming and studying tools Even Pages (EPA’s)

Each page needs a date, title, and page number Every page should be present. Everyone’s ISN must match! Update your Table of Contents daily Add section dividers between the months Finish Cornell notes with cue column & summary Highlight and annotate handouts Add EPA’s to show daily learning and studying Get notes from a classmate or my ISN when absent Maintaining Your Interactive Student Notebook

Your notebook will be a significant part of your total grade each semester (see scoring rubric). Even numbered pages will count as homework points, odd numbered as in-class points. Your notebooks will be evaluated on the last school day of each month. It is imperative you maintain your notebook. It is imperative that you take extensive notes in class daily. Grades

The first thing you need to do is check my Moodle website on the PHS webpage. Go to PHS high school home page student online learning Eng 7-8 Langdahl This will give you an outline of the day’s events and the homework assigned. You need to gets notes from a classmate or from my ISN. I will keep a master copy of the class interactive notebook with the formatting in order for you update your notebook. This is very important! Do not fall behind in keeping your notebook current. Remember notebooks are worth 100 points. What if I’m absent?

You will need to immediately start another notebook. You will need to view and copy the class notebook outside of regular class time. You will need to make up the EPAs. The percentage you are currently earning will be used as a temporary Interactive Notebook score until you are back on track. What if I lose my ISN?
