Each chapter competes in six different membership categories Team Broker oversees the progress and participation of chapters Each group has an alumni member that acts as a “Team Broker” Each group named after a core value Groups chosen based on year end chapter size Chapters divided into five groups

Pledge Class Size Weighted at 5% of the net score Total number of pledges inducted by the chapter Pledge Retention Weighted at 20% of the net score Percentage of pledges retained to initiation by the chapter Found by dividing the total number of YTD 2011-12 student member initiates by the total number YTD pledge class size Student Member Retention Weighted at 25% of the net score Measures the percentage of student members retained by the chapter Net score is based on maintaining or increasing the percentage of members retained from the previous year Student Initiates Weighted at 25% of the net score Tracks the total number of students initiated by the chapter Chapter Size Weighted at 10% of the net score Records the total chapter size Percent Increase Weighted at 15% of the net score Computes the growth of the chapter by dividing the 2011-12 year-end chapter size by the 2010-11 year-end chapter size.

Each prospective pledge must… Be enrolled in the institution where your chapter is located Meet the requirements or regulations with respect to rushing and pledging as prescribed by the institution where your chapter is located Express his or her firm interest in business and/or any related field Have paid any required pledging fees in full Be invited to join the fraternity and approved for pledging by the members of your chapter

To qualify for initiation to College Chapter membership each pledge must Fulfill the qualifications for admittance to the pledge period Fulfill any additional requirements of the institution where your chapter is located Have satisfactorily completed the pledge program and the fraternal examination Have favorably appeared before a Court of Honor as specified in The Ritual of the fraternity; provided, however, that the Regional Director or President may waive this requirement based upon extra ordinary conditions or upon prohibition by the institution where your chapter is located Have paid any required initiation fees in full Be invited to and approved for membership by the members of your chapter

Market yourselves On the history of Alpha Kappa Psi On your experience thus far On why they should join 4. Educate prospective members What works, what doesn’t work with events Helps for successful succession 5. Document your experiences

Get New Members Involved Have direction Create leaders Use Feedback to Improve 8.
