2. Main Idea: “Nameless, Tennessee”
What is the general impression that William Least Heat Moon conveys about Nameless, Tennessee?
How does he use characterization to develop that impression?

3. Features of a Good Summary
The first sentence should contain the title of the essay and the writer’s name.
The first sentence should also capture the main idea. (The main idea should be a statement, not a noun or noun with several modifiers.)
