El Salvador artist, Ronald Morán El Salvador artist, Ronald Morán’s installations explore the seeds of violence that are evident in children’s belongings and their private spaces. His life-size children’s bedrooms, made monochromatic by painstakingly wrapping each object in white fleece, create an illusion of frozen nostalgia, while softening the blow for all the hardships that a child will endure as he/she becomes an adult. Contemporary Mesoamerican Artists A Mexican tattoo artist living in Oaxaca, Dr. Lakra alters magazine tear sheets of wrestlers and pin-up girls, as well as anatomical illustrations and found objects, with cartoon drawings that reference sex, death, demons, and historical themes. El Salvador artist, Ronald Morán’s installations explore the seeds of violence that are evident in children’s belongings and their private spaces. Dario Escobar is a sculptor from Guatemala City, Guatemala.
